Young Tinker Foundation Employment Policy

At Young Tinker Foundation, we are committed to creating an inclusive, collaborative, and dynamic workplace that supports the professional growth of our team while fostering innovation and creativity. 3. Hiring and Recruitment Process

We prioritize transparency and fairness in our recruitment process. Job openings are advertised internally and externally, and all candidates are evaluated based on their skills, qualifications, and potential to contribute to the Foundation’s mission. Our selection process includes:

  • Job application submission
  • Initial screening
  • Interview rounds
  • Reference and background checks (if required)

4. Employment Contracts and Probation Period

Upon selection, all employees are offered an employment contract detailing the terms of their engagement, including role responsibilities, compensation, and benefits. A probationary period of six months applies to all new hires, during which time performance will be evaluated to ensure suitability for the role. Permanent employment status is granted following successful completion of the probationary period.

5. Working Hours and Attendance

Our standard working hours are from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (might change depending on demography), 6 days a week, with a one-hour lunch break. Flexibility in working hours may be granted to accommodate personal needs, provided that it does not affect team collaboration or project deadlines. Remote working is not allowed.

6. Compensation and Benefits

Young Tinker Foundation offers a competitive salary package in line with industry standards. In addition to financial compensation, we provide:

  • Professional development opportunities and training
  • Employee Benefits Deduction: 1.5% of the employee’s salary will be deducted for employee benefits.

7. Professional Development and Training

We encourage continuous learning and skill development. Employees have access to training programs, workshops, and resources to enhance their professional capabilities. We support participation in external conferences, courses, and certifications relevant to their roles.

8. Performance Management

Performance evaluations are conducted annually to provide employees with constructive feedback on their progress, areas for improvement, and opportunities for advancement. Our goal is to help employees grow within the organization and reach their full potential.

9. Code of Conduct and Workplace Behavior

Young Tinker Foundation upholds the highest standards of ethical behavior and professional integrity. Employees are expected to:

  • Treat colleagues, partners, and community members with respect and dignity
  • Avoid conflicts of interest
  • Adhere to confidentiality agreements
  • Demonstrate honesty, responsibility, and accountability in their roles
  • Moonlighting: No moonlighting is allowed for employees. Paid volunteers must seek approval if they are working after hours.

10. Leave Policy

  • Employees must inform at least 7 days prior to taking leave. Failure to provide notice will result in consequences:
    • 1-2 days’ prior intimation before leave will lead to a 1.5-day salary deduction, as this hampers team productivity.
    • Medical leave on sudden notice can be granted upon proof of medical admission.
  • No leave during notice period: Employees who are serving their notice period cannot take leave, except in the case of medical emergencies, where the leave duration will be added to extend the notice period to ensure a full 3-month notice period is served.

11. Notice Period

  • A 3-month notice period is mandatory for employees who have undergone Young Tinker Foundation’s specialized training.
  • The employee must submit a written email notice, and the day the email is sent will be considered Day 1 of the notice period.
  • No leave is permitted during this period, and in case of medical leave, the number of leave days will be added to extend the notice period to complete the full 3 months.

12. Caution Money Deposit

  • Upon joining, a refundable caution money deposit equivalent to one month’s salary will be deducted in three equal installments from the employee’s salary during the first three months of employment.
  • This amount will be refunded upon completion of the employee’s tenure, provided the employee serves the 3-month notice period and meets all contractual obligations.

13. Grievance and Dispute Resolution

We maintain an open-door policy to address any concerns or grievances employees may have. Our goal is to resolve disputes amicably and fairly. Employees are encouraged to raise any workplace-related issues with their immediate supervisor or the HR department.

14. Health, Safety, and Well-being

The health and safety of our employees are a top priority. We are committed to maintaining a safe work environment that adheres to local regulations and promotes physical and mental well-being. Employees are encouraged to report any safety concerns immediately.

15. Termination of Employment

Employment may be terminated by either party (employee or employer) with notice as specified in the employment contract. Termination may occur due to performance issues, redundancy, misconduct, or personal reasons. In cases of misconduct or breach of company policy, immediate termination may apply.
