Each TinkerFest features project showcases, insightful talks, and interactive sessions, all organized independently under a free license provided by Young Tinker. While Young Tinker does not directly control these events, organizers adhere to our guidelines for curation, event planning, and more. They benefit from our support and a global network of fellow organizers, fostering a vibrant culture of collaboration and learning.

About TinkerFest Soro
Tinkerfest Soro is a local edition of our flagship event, held in the vibrant town of Soro. It provides a platform for rural students to demonstrate their talent, engage in STEM-based activities, and collaborate with mentors and peers. This initiative aims to empower the community through education and innovation.

By Train:
Soro is well-connected by rail. Soro Railway Station is approximately 1.5 km from the venue.
A convenient option from Bhubaneswar is the Jan Shatabdi Express, which:
- Leaves Bhubaneswar at 6:00 AM and reaches Soro by 9:00 AM.
- Departs Soro at 6:00 PM and reaches Bhubaneswar by 9:00 PM.

By Bus:
The Soro Bus Stand, located about 1.5 km from the venue, has regular buses every 5-10 minutes from Bhubaneswar. Buses to Soro travel via Cuttack on National Highway NH-5, midway between Bhadrak and Balasore. The journey takes approximately 3.5 hours. From Bhubaneswar, take a bus from Baramunda Bus Terminal (BSBT).
By Air:
The nearest airport is Bhubaneswar Airport, located 164 km from the venue.
Soro provides hotel accommodations with stay costs ranging from INR 600 to 1000. Additionally, dormitory facilities are available for school teams attending the event.
The event will be held at the playground of Radhanath High School (RN School). The playground is surrounded by several schools, including Saraswati Sishu Vidya Mandir, RN High School, RN Middle School, and Urdu School.

How to register? Is there any registration fee?
To register, send a WhatsApp message saying:
“I/We <your name/names>, <your organization/school name>, want to participate in Tinkerfest Soro on 23rd Dec at Soro, Balasore. Please accept my participation.”
There is no registration fee, but prior registration is required. Confirmation via email or WhatsApp message is necessary.
