Young Tinkers Take the Global Stage
We are thrilled to share that three students from Young Tinker Space 1678, Mehboobnagar, have been selected for the globally recognized TIE Young Entrepreneurship (TYE) Program by TIE Hyderabad on Jan 2025! This program nurtures high school students to think, build, and grow as entrepreneurs.
These students were earlier part of the Entrepreneur Phase at YTS, where they received ₹1000 and were challenged to start a business. Unlike traditional programs where students only learn about entrepreneurship, at YTS, they actually do it.
Meet Our Young Entrepreneurs:
Dayamani (16) – Founder of RDY Farmers
Jadageesh (17) – Founder of Pepro
Mehbub (17) – Founder of Eco Shampoo Company
At Young Tinker Space (YTS), students go through a transformative learning journey in four levels: Tinker, Maker, Innovator, and Entrepreneur. This structured approach allows students to move from basic hands-on learning to creating real-world solutions and building sustainable businesses.
Tinker – Students begin by experimenting with electronics, 3D printing, CAD, and coding to develop foundational technical skills.
Maker – They move on to problem-solving and rapid prototyping, applying their knowledge to build functional models.
Innovator – Students work on solving real-life challenges by refining their prototypes into impactful solutions.
Entrepreneur – The final stage encourages them to take their ideas to market, helping people through real-world business ventures.
To ensure a structured approach to innovation, Young Tinker Space follows the FATAC framework in Design Thinking:
Feel the problem
Analyze the situation
Think of multiple solutions
Act to build a prototype
Create impact
Additionally, the DMW (Design, Make, Work) methodology helps students systematically turn ideas into working prototypes and businesses.
During the TYE program, they participated in an intensive session on Design Thinking and Rapid Prototyping, gaining hands-on experience in solving real-world challenges. Guided by expert mentors from TIE Hyderabad—Hari Pratap E, Harsha Vardhan, and Himajaa Indukuri—they explored the complete journey from ideation to execution.
At Young Tinker Space, we don’t just teach students what to learn, but how to create, solve, and lead. Programs like these give students the confidence and skills to think beyond textbooks and make a real impact in their communities and beyond.
We are incredibly proud of our students and their journey from receiving just ₹1000 to now competing on a global platform. This is just the beginning—stay tuned for more stories of young changemakers shaping the world!
