Governance

Our board follows policies on conflict of interest, whistle-blowing and document retention, and screens every foreign grantee against US sanctions lists. Copies are available on request from hq@youngtinker.org.

How we fund work outside the US

Gifts to Young Tinker Foundation Inc. support its own charitable programmes. When the board decides to fund a project abroad, including in India, it approves a specific grant, keeps full control and discretion over the money, screens the grantee, and requires reports on how the grant was used. Grants to our partner in India, Young Tinker Educational Foundation, are paid only into its government-registered FCRA account.

Donors may suggest where they would like their gift used, but the board makes the final decision.
