The Young Tinker Foundation successfully conducted an exciting edition of TinkerFest today at Government High School, IRC Village, Bhubaneswar on 25 November 2025. The event brought together enthusiastic students from various schools across the city, all eager to explore, experiment, and experience the joy of STEM learning.
From the moment the doors opened, the campus was filled with energy, excitement, and the unmistakable spark of curiosity as children immersed themselves in a range of interactive STEM-based activities designed to inspire creativity and problem-solving. The TinkerFest saw a wonderful mix of hands-on learning zones, engaging demonstrations, and student-led experiments. Children collaborated, shared ideas, tinkered fearlessly with tools and materials, and pushed the boundaries of their imagination — the very essence of STEM education.
The event was graced by the presence of Mr. Pradipta Kumar Behera, Head Master, Government High School, IRC Village, Bhubaneswar, Mr. Tofan Kumar Routray, Senior Science Faculty, Government High School, IRC Village, Bhubaneswar and Mr. Anil Pradhan, CEO, Young Tinker Foundation whose inspiring words motivated the participants to innovate boldly and explore the world through curiosity.
Highlight Event: Young Tinker Rover Challenge
The spotlight of the day was the Young Tinker Rover Challenge, where participating teams built their own rovers from scratch — right from conceptualizing the design, assembling components, debugging mechanisms, to preparing their rover for the final run.
Each team presented a unique approach, with creative wheel systems, clever gear arrangements, innovative suspensions, and smart material choices. The challenge culminated in an exciting competition where the rovers had to navigate a specially designed obstacle course, testing their: Agility, Durability, Design efficiency, and Team’s engineering thought process.
Cheers erupted across the venue as students raced against time, celebrated small victories, and learned from every bump in the course.
